Kokomo.is (“Kokomo”, “we”) is a website with Icelandic word games, puzzles and learning games. It is run by Nordic Dynamic ehf., reg. no. 580711-0810, Bræðratunga 16, 200 Kópavogur, Iceland. By using Kokomo you accept these terms.
Kokomo is made for fun. The games, including the learning games, are not reviewed teaching material and do not replace teaching or textbooks.
The site is largely built with AI. We try to check as much as we can, but mistakes can slip through, both in the Icelandic and in the games themselves. If you spot a mistake, we would really appreciate a note, for example with the “Tilkynna villu” (report an error) button at the bottom of the page.
Anyone can play the games without an account. To create an account you must be 13 or older, or have permission from a parent or guardian. Parents and guardians are responsible for their children's use if the children are under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has created an account without permission, we may close it.
Kokomo's core games are free and can be played without signing up. With an account, created with an email address or Google, your progress, streaks, palms and outfits follow you across devices.
You can add friends, send them gifts from the shop and challenge them to duels. A gift that has been sent cannot be taken back. It is not allowed to use gifts or invite links to collect palms with more than one account.

The design, code, the puffin Lundi, the brand and Kokomo's original content belong to Nordic Dynamic ehf. Word and clue data are based in part on the Icelandic Dictionary of Modern Usage © The Árni Magnússon Institute for Icelandic Studies (CC BY-SA 4.0, data transformed), the Database of Icelandic Morphology and IceWordNet, and are used in line with their licences.
Palms are an in-game currency you collect by playing and can use for hints, older puzzles, outfits and other things within Kokomo.
Kokomo does not take any payments at the moment. If a paid service becomes available, we will publish terms for it first, including price, cancellation and the right to withdraw from a purchase.
You can ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing kokomo@kokomo.is from the address the account is registered with. What happens to the data is described in the privacy policy.
We do our best to keep Kokomo working, but we cannot promise that the site is always available or free of errors. We do not guarantee that the content of the games is correct, and it should not be used as a reference. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss or lost progress. Nothing in these terms limits consumers' statutory rights.
If we change these terms we update the date at the top. If a change matters to account holders, we let them know on the site or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you don't want to continue, you can have your account deleted.
These terms are governed by Icelandic law. If a dispute cannot be settled by agreement, it may be brought before the Reykjavík District Court. Consumers nevertheless keep the rights the law of their home country gives them.
